LIMBANG: An antique seller had to deal with an unwelcome slithery visitor early yesterday morning at his home in Kampung Bukit Kota.Budiman Ratnawi, 48, was awakened by unusual sounds coming from his chickens at around 3am.

When he checked the coop, he was shocked to find a 30-kg python wrapped around the pen, eyeing what it hoped to be a meal inside.

“I was stunned and shouted to my younger brother and cousin to help catch the snake, which had swallowed up my chickens in the past,” he said.

The trio took 20 minutes to kill the snake with parang and sharp piece of iron as the snake fought back furiously after it was cornered.

Budiman was relieved when it was over and believed he has caught the culprit responsible for missing chickens in the past.
