MIRI: Miri Port Authority Social & Recreational Club (Kelab Miriport) will hold a tenpin bowling competition on April 24.It will be played at Megalanes East Bowling Centre, Level 3 of Bintang Megamall (Parkson) starting 10am-4pm.
It is limited to 40 teams only and those interested may register now as the closing date is tomorrow.
Entry fee is RM250 per team of three bowlers – one male and two females.
Forms are obtainable from Adnan Bujang (085-609033), Haliza Hamden (085-609002), Gatha Riyu (085-609005) or Vensent Ganang (085-609057).
A spokesman said the champions would bring home RM500, a trophy and souvenir.
The first and second runners-up respectively will receive RM300 and RM200 plus a souvenir each.
“This yearly event is to raise funds for our club,” the spokesman said.
He added that part of the proceeds would be donated to Sarawak Orphans Welfare Board, Miri branch as part of Miri Port Authority’s corporate social responsibility to the needy.
The competition is open to government agencies, private institutions, sport associations and non-governmental organisations.
