Weatherman forecasts hazy conditions from next month

KUALA LUMPUR: The weatherman has forecast hazy conditions following the switch to the South-West Monsoon which brings wind across from Sumatra beginning early June.Malaysia Meteorological Department forecasting director Saw Bun Liong said the hot and dry weather was expected to prolong until September.

“Compared to the weather now, early June is expected to bring less rain but the same temperature, of between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius,” he said when contacted by Bernama.

Saw said that over the past three months, Malaysia had been in the monsoon transition period where the weather was hot and wet with the temperature at 32 degrees Celsius and uncertain thunderstorms.

He advised the people to be prepared to experience thunderstorms at night. — Bernama
