Kaisu receives international recognition for its products

KUCHING: Kaisu (M) Sdn Bhd (Kaisu), a specialist in the ironmongeries business recently took part in the 2010 Taipei International Invention & Innovation Technomart exhibition and won 10 awards in the ‘International Invention & Innovation category’.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION: Kaisu is one of the participants of the recent 2010 Taipei International Invention & Innovation Technomart exhibition and won 10 awards in the ‘International Invention & Innovation category’.

According to its executive director, Richard Lee, the 2010 International Invention & Innovation competition was held from September 30 to October 3 in Taipei.

Over 200 counters were eligible for the competition whilst 800 counters were set aside for mere exhibition purposes with a total of 962 innovative products on display.

There were a total of 137 gold awards for various product categories with classifications of gold, silver and bronze for the respective participants.

At the prize giving ceremony, Malaysian companies and individuals had won five gold medals; Kaisu received one gold and one bronze medal, Dr Xiao from Johor Bahru received three gold medals for his medical invention category and another gold medal of medical invention category was won by University Malaya.

Apart from receiving one gold and one bronze from the organiser in Taipei, Kaisu also received

additional eight awards from other nations and professional bodies including International Intellectual Property Network Forum (IIPNF).

Kaisu received three outstanding awards from IIPNF in the ‘Kasa Architectural Hardware’, ‘Kasa Master Keying System’ and ‘Kasa Smart Lock’ categories.

Subsequently, it received three awards from Korea Invention Association, an award from Russia Housing/Home Specialist Invention Association and another award from Iran Invention Corporation.

With the total medal tally of 10 awards received from various nations, Kaisu’s Kasa brand made the Malaysian nation proud at the exhibition.

In addition, Kasa received the Malaysia Power Brand Award 2010 award from Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department by Asia Entrepreneurs (AEA) on October 14, 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.

Kaisu has undertaken numerous governmental projects like airports, hotels, prisons and schools.

On top of all these supply projects in East Malaysia, the company has extended its business to West Malaysia.
