Nature Republic boosts entry into cosmetic industry with fifth store

MIRI: Nature Republic Malaysia (Nature Republic) launched its fifth store nationwide in Miri yesterday, in the period of the early fourth-quarter of its entry into the nation’s cosmetic industry.

The new store would add to its third East Malaysian outlet at the tHe Spring Shopping Mall in Kuching.

The company first opened its flagship store in the country at Times Square Shopping Mall in Kuala Lumpur in January this year.

Notably, its director Lim Kok Khiang said Miri was chosen as Nature Republic’s fifth store location due to the great potential market in the city through its target group.

“Geographically, Miri and Brunei Darussalam are a close neighbouring countries. With the high tourist volume coming into Miri, we have also identified Bruneians as one of our target groups,” he revealed.

Moreover, Lim also disclosed that Nature Republic would continue to secure its’ empire in the country by establishing its sixth and seventh retail stores at Farenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur and City Square, Johor Bahru – both expected to open this November and December, respectively.

“After Malaysia, Nature Republic projects to penetrate into the Brunei market in the near future,” he added.

The Korean-based cosmetic brand, established in March 2009, has grown rapidly with a total of 115  retail stores in Korea.

Best known for selling all types of cosmetic and beauty product from hair to toes for all gender, Nature Republic had since spread wings to other Asian countries namely, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Asked on how Nature Republic differentiated itself from its competitors, Lim attributed this to the products’ effectiveness, such as its facial products.

He added that the brand also focused on its customers’ orientation driven by high volume of research and development (R&D) initiatives.

“Through R&D, we able to discover new product constantly to be offered to the customers, at the same time accommodating for different needs of customer according to  geographical, weather and region differences,” he said.

“We offer a range of ‘head-to-toe’ skincare products amounting to over 1,000 products. We aim to pioneer the new luxurious cosmetic market by introducing new concepts with distinctive ingredients and stylish packaging which are vital in the industry.”
