KUALA LUMPUR: Umno information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan cautioned party members against taking comfort at the turmoil plaguing opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), saying the effort to win the hearts of the people should continue.

Ahmad, who is Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, said party members should also continue to give their best service to the people.

He expressed surprise at the low turnout at PKR elections but said it was a sign that the party was losing support.

“I am surprise because I thought there would be many people coming out to vote,” he told reporters after a qurban ceremony at the National Mosque  yesterday.
