SIBU: A woman from Julau fell out of a speeding car and was nearly bulldozed to death by a trailing car before she landed in the middle of the road,  in Lanang Road here, yesterday at 2pm.

INJURED: The victim being helped by medical personnel and a public member to a stretcher.

A man who was ferrying a policewoman, was driving behind the car and witnessed the incident.

“Luckily at the time, I was driving at moderate speed and managed to brake in time when the victim fell off  after being rammed by the speeding car,” the eyewitness told reporters.

“As the car in the incident was tinted, I could not clearly see how the incident happened, whether she was pushed out of the car or she dropped out accidentally.”

The eyewitness with the policewoman quickly alighted from their vehicle and came to the victim’s aid.

They brought the victim to the roadside where the policewoman comforted her, and later alerted an ambulance.

Fortunately, she only grazed her chin and limbs in the dramatic fall.

According to the victim’s employer, he saw his employee (victim) going to meet her husband in her husband’s car, which was parked opposite his coffee shop, following a call from the man.

“I could only see that the car driver was a woman, but not her husband,” he told reporters.

“When I drove past the car, I saw my employee on the road,  instead of in her husband’s car.”

He said the woman came here from Julau to work in his coffee shop and for about two weeks, and is on night shift while attempting to look for her husband.

“The couple had many problems in their marriage,” he alleged.
