Constable sees silver lining in Petronas campaign

KUCHING: Traveling an hour and a half each day just to get to work is no bed of roses. But for Polis IPD Satok constable Ahmad Resahuddin Ahmad Tarjudin, the tiresome journey has just given him a million reasons to be happy.  

The 33-year old was one of three people in Sarawak who won RM5,000 cash and 100,000 Mesra Points in the Petronas’ “The Road to Rewards’ campaign held nationwide.

Organised by Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB), the campaign, currently in its fifth week, has already rewarded 1,695 Petronas customers in its first three weeks.

A total of RM391,500 worth of prizes have been awarded in which 15 people won RM10,000 cash and 100,000 Mesra Points each and 15 more won RM5,000 cash and 100,000 Mesra Points each, while 1,665 Petronas Kad Mesra Gift Card worth RM100 were given out.

A supervisor from Padawan, 44 year old Anthoney Taha and 75 year-old, Wong Teng Cheu, a taxi driver from Bintulu, were the other two lucky Sarawakians to take home RM5,000 cash and 100,000 Mesra Points.

To date, the Petronas Service Station in Jalan Tun Jugah, Kuching has so far generated the highest number of entries nationwide alongside the Jalan Bul Bul Petronas Service Station in Tawau, Sabah.

The Petronas ‘The Road to Rewards’ promotional campaign is running until February 15 2011.
