SIBU: A foreign youth working in a sawmill in Sungei Bidut is devastated that he would most probably return home with a deformed left hand after it was badly crushed in a machine at his workplace on Monday.

For reasons still unclear, Hamadayah’s left hand was dragged into the machine and crushed.
In the industrial accident at 3.30pm, it was already too late when his colleagues heard his screams.
They could not do anything except to switch off the machine.
They took him to the 1Malaysia clinic in the village before an ambulance took the mill worker, in his early 20s, to hospital where he was admitted.
In an unrelated case, a housewife ran away from home without a word.
Although Senah Kinhun’s whereabouts were not known, her husband Suhaidi Laila set out looking for the 40-year-old.
Suhaidi said his wife had last Saturday night said she was going over to their neighbour’s house, but never returned.
Suhaidi has lodged a police report.
The police believe family problems might have been the reason for Senah’s disappearance.
