Astro brings first ever 3D live telecast of Barclays Premier League

KUCHING: Subscription TV service provider Astro creates another first in Malaysia’s broadcasting history by bringing the first-ever 3D live telecast of the Barclays Premier League.

NEW EXPERIENCE: Astro sports presenters given a test of the 3D telecast.

Astro B.yond  customers with sports package and 3D TVs at home can tune in to Astro SuperSport (Channel 830) for the highly anticipated match between Manchester United and Chelsea at 12am next Monday.

Astro’s chief operating officer Henry Tan said Malaysians can now experience the historic live telecast of one of the biggest BPL match in 3D as well as high definition (HD).

“Astro is constantly innovating to provide our customers unparalleled viewing experience,” he said in a press release from Kuala Lumpur.

The match can also be enjoyed in HD on Astro SuperSport HD (Channel 831), in standard definition (SD) on Astro SuperSport 3 (Channel 817) and LIVE video streaming via Astro B.player on www.astro.com.my/stadiumastro.

Football fans using iPhone can watch the game LIVE anywhere by downloading Astro’s B.player application for free.

Astro and Panasonic Malaysia will be holding a Stadium Astro BPL viewing party at Bola Bistro, Sunway Giza Mall in Kuala Lumpur this Sunday from 9pm onwards.

To liven up the atmosphere, Astro SuperSport’s Roshan will be there to host the viewing party. Public who want to experience 3D can do so at the viewing party.
