BELURAN: A man was killed on the spot when his car rammed into a bus at Km 89 Beluran-Telupid Road yesterday afternoon.
Semitah Golot, 39, was believed to have lost control of the car and rammed into the bus which was travelling in the opposite direction from Tawau at 12.45pm.
District police chief DSP Shivathan A/L Belauthan said the victim succumbed to severe head and body injuries.
“The victim was believed to have just visited his garden at Tongod about 150 kilometres from here. He was on the way home to Beluran,” he said.
Semitah’s body was sent to the Beluran Hospital for a post-mortem. The driver of the bus escaped unhurt.
