Incentive and discounts for assessment rate payment

KOTA KINABALU: City Hall is offering incentive and discounts to ratepayers who settle their assessment rates from January until March 31.

A five per cent rebate will be given to ratepayers who settle their current assessment in one lump sum payment up to the fourth quarter of the year.

Those who settle the full amount outstanding assessment and pay lump sum of the assessment up to the fourth quarter of the year will receive a 100 per cent discount on the notification fee and 75 per cent discount on the interest.

To be eligible for the incentive and discounts, payments must be made on or before March 31.

Meanwhile, City hall will be opening a mobile counter for the issuance of dog licence and payment of assessment on Saturdays and Sundays (Jan 15, 16, 22 and 23) at Foh Sang and on Feb 12, 13, 19 and 20 at Lido, from 8am until 12 noon.

This is to faciliate members of the public to apply or renew licences for their dogs.

Under the Registration and Control of Dogs By-laws 1963, all dog owners must register and get a licence for their dog (aged six months and above) every year, and licence to be renewed on or before Dec 31.

The licence is RM5 for male dog and RM10 for female dog.
