KOTA KINABALU: Batu Sapi MP Datin Linda Tsen has been appointed chairman of Sabah Credit Corporation (SCC).

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said that Linda’s appointment had created history by being the first woman chairman of the corporation.

Linda’s appointment took effect last year succeeding LDP secretary-general cum Tanjong Kapor assemblyman Datuk Teo Chee Kang who was appointed chairman of the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB).

“The late Datuk Edmund Chong, Datin Linda’s husband, was previously CVLB chairman, so it is considered a swap between Linda and Teo,” he said.

Meanwhile when asked if Datuk Iliyas Ibrahim would be retained as mayor of Kota Kinabalu or a new person was to be appointed, Musa said that he had yet to make a decision on the matter.

Iliyas’ tenure as mayor will expire on Feb 1.

“I will let you know,” he responded when met by reporters after chairing the state Cabinet meeting at Wisma Innoprise yesterday.
