AkzoNobel showcases Dulux premium paints at BTS 2011

KUCHING: The state’s largest building trade exhibition, the Building Trade Show 2011 (BTS 2011) is set to make its mark at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from March 24 to 27 this year, where AkzoNobel is proud to be a partner in the event.

ENERGY SAVINGS: Dulux Weathershield Keep Cool, AkzoNobel’s latest innovation, which saves energy by up to 15 per cent whilst reducing exterior surface temperatures by up to five degrees Celcius.

The exhibition, now in its sixth year, will be the main avenue for local and foreign companies comprising of suppliers for building materials, home furnishings, furniture and electrical appliances, importers, distributors, manufacturers, as well as specialists to showcase their products.  The trade show’s theme for this year is ‘Innovative, Informative, Inspiring’ aimed at entertaining as well as educating visitors on the latest products and services available in the market.

ICI Paints (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, now an AkzoNobel company – the world’s largest paints and coatings company – is one of the main sponsors for the exhibition. Constantly striving to meet the needs of consumers while preserving the environment for present and future generation, AkzoNobel has garnered the ‘Green Label’ accreditations such as the ‘SIRIM Eco-Label’ for being the first company in the country to introduce a full-range of low odour, low-volatile organic compound (VOC) products via their Dulux Trade Eco-Guard water-based series. Their success and popularity in the market marks the rise in awareness of Malaysian consumers regarding environmental sustainability and eco-friendly products.

AkzoNobel will also be showcasing the Dulux ‘Light and Space’ range, which features Dulux’s Lumitech technology that improves lighting energy efficiency by reflecting twice as much light as normal emulsion paint. It will also be exhibiting the Dulux Weathershield Max for maximum exterior protection and Dulux Weathershield Keep Cool, their latest in energy reduction technology which saves energy by up to 15 per cent whilst reducing exterior surface temperatures by up to five degrees Celcius, helping to alleviate the impact of global warming.
