MELBOURNE: Malaysia Kitchen Australia will come to life in Sydney on Feb 16 when the State Theatre Laneway in Sydney’s central business district (CBD) is transformed into a contemporary interpretation of a Malaysian hawker market.

Sydney-siders who visit the Malaysia Kitchen Food Market will experience a range of authentic Malaysian dishes including beef rendang, roti and laksa from some of Sydney’s finest Malaysian restaurants.

Restaurants taking part include Mamak, Chinta Ria, Sambal, Jackie M, Jimmy’s Recipe and Melbourne’s Laksa Me.

Not just a culinary delight, the unique dining experience will be a visual masterpiece; dressed with a canopy of coloured lanterns, wall collages and light installations of Malaysian imagery to reflect the chefs’ work. Cost per pax is A$10.

Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to win a foodie escapade to Malaysia, thanks to Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines
(MAS). — Bernama
