RM500 million pledged for devt in Beladin

BELADIN: The federal government has pledged RM500 million in funds for development projects in Beladin.

NEW BUILDINGS: The township of Beladin.

LANDMARK: SMK Beladin.

Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib said this at a ceremony to declare open the RM1.3 million Masjid Beladin Al at Beladin township yesterday.

Taib said he was informed of this by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin during his recent visit to Sarawak.

Muhyiddin also announced an additional RM400,000 in funds to complete the mosque at Pusa.

Referring to the coming state elections, Taib reminded constituents of the development and progress they had enjoyed.

He urged them to continue to support leaders who could be trusted to bring development to the community and look after their welfare.

Also present at the function was Beting Maro MP Datuk Bolhassan Di, Batang Lupar MP Datuk Rohani Abul Karim and Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Islamic Affairs), Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman.
