SERIAN: Serian town is set to become the centre of attraction from tomorrow until Sunday when the Sejiwa Senada programme is held there.
Many fun-filled activities have been planned for the people, particularly from nearby villages, to enjoy as a family over the weekend. Among the venues for the various activities are the Serian Community Hall, Indoor Stadium, mini exhibition studio and public car park near the hall.
Tomorrow, the events will begin with a futsal tournament at 8am at the Serian Indoor Stadium. The event soft opening will begin at 2.30pm at the Serian Community Hall main stage. All activities and programmes during the three days will end at 10.30pm.
The Serian-by pass road will be closed on Saturday from 7am to 2pm. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud are scheduled to witness the official launching.
