Do not dispute decision on Pang’s post – Cintanusa

TAWAU: The Chief Minister’s decision to retain Datuk Peter Pang En Yin’s Youth and Sports Minister post should not be disputed by any quarters, especially the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).

Badan Bertindak Pencinta Nusa (Cintanusa) chairman Zulkarnain Mahdar said this was because there was no law that stated the post must be inherited by the party involved.

Zulkarnaian added Pang is a member of the Barisan Nasional (BN) and he (Peter) should not be viewed as an ‘outsider’ by members of the BN component parties.

In his statement to the media yesterday, he called on all quarters to leave the decision of the Deputy Chief Minister’s seat that had been left vacant to the Chief Minister.

He said let the Chief Minister make the decision on whom he thinks among the Chinese representatives is capable for the post.

Zulkarnain also urged LDP leaders not to use their victory in the last election to belittle other parties.

“LDP should realize their win in the last general election was aided by other component parties,” he said.
