Civilian staff among service award recipients

SARIKEI: Three civilian staff members were among the recipients of Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) during the 204th Police Day celebration here yesterday.

Parland Parino, Zainab Tehek and William Penggulang all received the award in recognition of their excellent service.

Thirteen personnel of various ranks — Insp Suhaila Sainudin, Sgt Howell Imam, Cpl Damping Munoi, Cpl Mutallip Maknun, Cpl Ismail Brahim, L/Cpl Kadam Liling, L/Cpl Donel Stephen, L/Cpl Mohamed Noor Kadren, L/Cpl Anita Sulaiman, L/Cpl Hayrol Soffian Fauzi, L/Cpl Azman Alleh, L/Cpl Inyau Mang and L/Cpl Shierley Gani — also received the award.

Another 13 personnel, three civilian staff members and 10 civilians, including six reporters, received commendation letters from district police chief Supt Philip Picha Rumpang.

Among the recipients were Insp Fairuz Azma Fauzi, Sgt Petrus Katum, Sgt Mohd Yassin Abu Bakar, Sgt Lee Ah Khun, Sgt Roslan L Udin, Sgt Rakawan Krishnan, Sgt Sandom Snabong, Sgt Saga Sabang, Cpl Mohd Alfian, Cpl Mohd Noor Saad, Cpl Doris Teo, L/Cpl Patrick Yiap, L/Cpl Ramping Achat, Jaba Jali, Choo Khoon Hong, Latep Lamat, Anthony Baji, Awangku Bahtiar Awang Putera, William Ling and Lim Su Thiam.

The six local reporters were Anthony Aga (The Borneo Post), Kepu Sidi (Utusan Borneo), Roger Francis (Utusan Sarawak), Hwang Tiong Kang (See Hua Daily News), Wong Siew Ing (Sin Chiew Jit Poh) and Lu Huong Chin (International Times).

Prior to the award presentation ceremony, Philip inspected the parade, read IGP Tan Sri Ismail Omar’s message and led the renewal of the service pledge.
