Eight Kapit policemen receive excellence award

KAPIT: Eight policemen here received the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) yesterday as part of the 204th Police Day celebration.

The APC recipients were ASP Gregory Emilio, Sgt Getah Untam, Cpl Dinggai Reba, Cpl Rot Mok, Cpl Seluat Anu, L/Cpl Saberi Thon, L/Cpl Abdul Rahman and L/Cpl Azizan Abdul Kassim.

Letters of commendation were also presented to 13 recipients yesterday for their contributions to law enforcement.

The recipients were Insp Gilbert Cinhin, Sgt Abdul Rahman, Sgt Jonia Nyator, Cpl Sami Kichin, L/Cpl Philip John, L/Cpl Sutini Han, L/Cpl Joseph Ngelingkong, L/Cpl Madeline @ Nurhanni, L/Cpl Pina Bajat, Const Erickson Esang, Const Beddy Tubeng, Const Noreha Jaflie, Gisang @ Engkamat and Zulina Chui.

The Public Works Department (JKR) and Kapit Health Department also received letters of appreciation.

Heads of departments, community leaders, ex-policemen and cadet police joined the celebration at the Kapit police headquarters, which began at 7.30am.

Kapit police chief DSP Entusa Imam read out the speech of IGP Tan Sri Ismail Omar, ASP Chiew Swoi Kee led the oath-pledging, while Inspector Shahrul Mohd Shukor was the parade commandant.
