KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) has appointed its Supreme Council member Datuk George Sangkin as vice president and practicing lawyer Justinus Baharum as Supreme council member.

Sangkin is a former member of parliament for Kota Marudu constituency.

PBRS president Tan Sri Joseph Kurup, who is also Deputy Natural Resources and Environment Minister, reminded party members to work extra hard at the grassroots level in anticipation of the coming general election.

In the meantime the party is strongly behind its leaders in calling for the Deputy Speaker’s post at the State Legislative assembly held by opposition’s SAPP vice president Datuk Frankie Chong to be given to PBRS as soon as possible.

PBRS is hopeful that Chief Minister and State BN chairman Datuk Seri Musa Aman, who commands a strong majority in the state assembly, would propose to rectify the imbalance to be corrected at the next state assembly sitting.
