Shell Carnival turns up heat at Medan Hall

SIBU: The parking lot at Medan Mall here was turned colourful and bright recently – thanks to the spectacular Shell Carnival.

The carnival rolled out in conjunction with the ‘Win Weekly at Shell’ contest, was to show appreciation to the customers, which was accompanied by a host of entertainment activities.

The children colouring contest was spread into three categories, namely group A (four to six years old), B (seven to nine years), and C (10 – 12 years).

Among those present was Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (MDTCC) Sibu branch chief Balraj Singh, Shell regional retail manager for Sarawak Robert Choo and Medan Mall general manager Peter Yik.

Meanwhile, from week 12 till 15 (March 8 till April 6), the weekly contest will have two first prize winners, compared to one previously.

The two weekly grand winners are for customers here only and weekly top prize is a cash sum of RM30,000.

Cheryl Wong Shi Yong emerged champion for the group A colouring contest, followed by Wynona Elssy and Joanna Lau respectively.

In group B, winners were Therysia Kunai Rabing (champion), Raburn Ignatius Basu Steward (first runner-up) and Esther Wong (second runner-up).

And in group C, Alvin Lau was crowned champion with Christopher Wong Qin Shyen and Michelle Wong Hui Hui in second and third spots respectively.
