TAWAU: TAWAU: In an operation to enforce its Anti-Litter By-law, the municipal council has fined four eatery operators RM100 each.
The operation was carried out by 20 enforcement officers from the council, the Tawau Islamic Religious Affairs Department and Health Department.
Chief enforcement officer Azinun Sanarul said the operation focused on the cleanliness of food premises and validity of ‘halal’ sign.
“We have found some owners of the food premises not complying with the cleanliness regulation and some even displayed their food and wares on the five foot way,” he said.
