Ba Kelalan BN man hopes to bring accelerated development

LAWAS:  Ba Kelalan BN candidate, a Lun Bawang born lawyer Willie Liau from Buduk Bui village, is looking forward to bringing unity and accelerated development to the highland.

Born on Sept 1, 1968, he is married with three children, and is also the secretary of Sarawak Lun Bawang Association and SPDP Youth chief for Ba Kelalan division and state exco member.

Touching down in Lawas airport and introduced as the BN candidate to the waiting crowd by Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, he humbly accepted the rounds of congratulations, saying he looked forward to the challenge of retaining the seat for BN.

His selection was also in response to the call from the people of Ba Kelalan for a capable local leader with determination to bring progress to this predominantly Lun Bawang seat.

“With understanding and top leadership in this district, Ba Kelalan can look forward to the future and take on the challenges of a global village with the support of its  people in a very difficult geographical terrain,” he said. He urged the people of Ba Kelalan to rally behind the BN.

Meanwhile, his wife, Dorothy Suut who was at the airport to welcome home her husband, said she and her family are giving their full blessing and support to his mission.

“We have to start a new chapter in our life which is definitely going to change and the family looked forward to being with the people through thick and thin,” she said.

Also giving their support were Datin Tunong Palong, the wife of Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong, and Datin Dina Singa, wife of the late Datuk Racha Umong, a former Bukit Mas member of parliament.
