Six gamblers arrested

KOTA MARUDU: Six people, including a woman, were arrested by police for alleged involvement in illegal gambling.
District police chief DSP Mohd Isa Yusof said the suspects were arrested near the SM Adventist in Kampung Goshen here on March 30, for gambling in Russian poker.
Among the items confiscated were 56 pieces of playing cards, RM26.70 cash and other items believed to have been used in the illegal activity.
The suspects, aged between 17 and 41 years old had been remanded to facilitate investigation under Section 4 (a) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.
Isa reminded the public not to be involved in any illegal activity he expressed his appreciation to the public for giving information to the police.
