LONG SUKANG: The Lun Bawang community in Long Sukang wants the Barisan Nasional (BN) to continue its development plans for the Ba Kelalan constituency.

Long Lutok headman Sakai Balang said the younger generation is more open and closer to BN as they have been exposed to working in urban areas and know the government’s contributions to the people.

“The BN government is very good. The people should not waste their time with the opposition, who have no plans to bring development to the people,” Sakai told The Borneo Post yesterday.

He stressed that voting for BN would bring further development to the community, which still needs infrastructural development.

Sakai’s views were echoed by villager Lonnie Lipang Dawat.

She said the village has many facilities including a clinic, primary school, a Sidang Injil Borneo (SIB) Church and solar hybrid power.

“Therefore, the Lun Bawang in Ba Kelalan must continue to support BN and its candidate Willie Liau,” she said.

Fellow villager Bina Balang also called on the people in Ba Kelalan to give their undivided support to Willie.

There are over 60 households in Long Sukang with some 500 villagers.
