KOTA KINABALU: Amateur racers here who have always been yearning for go-kart racing will now have their chance.

The 100PLUS Go-Kart racing event is now in town, and those who fancy showing off their go carting skills can participate in the race for free.

The event is part of 100PLUS Malaysia’s Go-Kart Tour scheduled to be held in seven major towns and cities in east Malaysia.

It started off in Kuching town of Sarawak in mid March, followed by Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, before moving to Kota Kinabalu.

The open racing competition which began in the City yesterday is currently being held at Padang Merdeka here, before moving to its next destinations, namely Sandakan next weekend and Tawau the weekend after that.

Today, more lucky participants will be given a three-lap trial around the exclusive Infinity Racetrack that has been set up to challenge even the skilled go-kart drivers. Drivers with the best time will be given a mystery gift at the end of the day.

Apart from go-kart racing, other fun-filled activities are also available for visitors at the two-day event, such as Velcro Gym, Water Tag, Race Simulators and photo opportunities with the gorgeous-looking 100PLUS ambassadors.

Participants can also rehydrate and re-energise after their go-kart session at a 100PLUS Cool Zone.
