CIMB officially streamlines brands

KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Group Bhd (CIMB Group) is all geared up for its next phase of evolution, where it has officially announced that it is adopting a unified, common colour across its brands in a move to reflect a unified region-wide identity as a leading Asean financial services franchise.

“This is the next stage of growth for CIMB Group. Our goals see us moving beyond just being a universal bank operating within the region. And we have been conscious of developing the potential of becoming a leading Asean franchise. This realignment is a reflection of our Asean agenda in terms of what we are now and what we are preparing to become,” shares group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Nazir Tun Razak.

“In the course of becoming a leading universal bank in Southeast Asia, CIMB Group and its sub-brands have collectively earned substantial recognition across the region. The CIMB prefix in itself has built significant equity and our regional brand strategy has been hugely successful. But like our business, the brand needs to evolve in line with our aspirations,” he explains.

“Over the years, red has become the recognised CIMB colour in the marketplace; and as

we expanded beyond Malaysian shores, the colour red has become the dominant face for the brand across Asean.”
