Swedish Embassy to host ‘Innovation Forum’

KUALA LUMPUR: With Sweden acclaimed to be one of the world’s most innovative nations, the Swedish Embassy here is hosting an “Innovation Forum” as part of the “Sweden-Malaysia Innovation Day” programme.

The forum, from May 6 to 10, is held in collaboration with the Special Innovation Unit in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Swedish Trade Council, the embassy said in a statement.

“Becoming a more innovative and creative society is at the heart of Malaysia’s reform agenda.

Sweden has a solid reputation for being one of the most innovative countries in the world and is often referred to as a role model in creating a competitive and innovation economy,” the embassy said.

Meanwhile, the forum will focus on the importance of innovation from a societal and company perspective and will include several inspirational speakers from the public and private sectors together with academics from Sweden and Malaysia. — Bernama
