PENAMPANG: A local man was found dead inside his apartment at Regency Park here early yesterday morning.
The deceased, identified as Chang Kim Siong, 52, was found lying in the living room of the apartment by his friend at around 6.30am.
The deceased who was originally from Peninsular Malaysia stayed alone in the apartment.
It was said that the friend had called the deceased a couple of times on his handphone but there was no response.
The friend then proceeded to the apartment and found him dead.
Acting District Police Chief ASP Wan Badrul Hisham Wan Osman when contacted, said police received a report at 7am and a team was immediately dispatched to the scene.
“Initial investigation shows that the deceased had suffered a heart attack.
Police are investigating the case,” he said yesterday.
Wan Badrul ruled out foul play and said the body had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.
