I come to know a few African film production houses promoting their culture-based films on the Internet and it has sparked my interest ever since, and I was thinking to myself how good it would be if Dayak films could have the same exposure,” he said in a statement here today.

“Online marketing holds a lot of potential for the distribution of feature films.

The timing is good for local Malaysian film distributors and producers to benefit from the positive impact of internet marketing ,” he said.

He said at the moment the company was identifying several Kuala Lumpur-based internet social media providers with the intention of collaborating in promoting the “Dunya Gangster” movie.

Meanwhile “Dunya Gangster” co-producer Benny Zachariah has appealled to private television stations to give more recognition to Dayak language movies and dramas.

“From the day one I started Dayak film industry in the state, I have always dreamt that one day, ASTRO or TV3 will air any Dayak telemovies or dramas and I hope that I will be the guy that can convince Media Prima Groups to buy my films,”he said.

“It’s not the question of how much they can pay for the film, but the most important is that BFG makes history by becoming the first Sarawak film production house to supply Dayak films to a reputable TV stations like ASTRO or TV3,” said 37-year-old Benny.
