ESPRIT-MANIA swept the Hills Shopping Mall on Friday when guests thronged the opening of the international brand’s second store in Kuching for a night of retail therapy and fun-filled activities.

STOREWIDE SALES: Guests at the opening were treated to a storewide 25 per cent discount sales.

Boasting the latest in-store concept, the swanky 3,200 square feet outlet will operate as a one-stop shopping centre, housing Espirt’s casual and collection labels as well as the edc and De.corp lines.

“Shoppers will find at Esprit, they can fully accessorise themselves from head to toe as we have an extensive collection of casual wear for both men and women, accessories, bodywear and timewear that will appeal to both the young and old alike,” said Esprit country manager, Yeoh Oon Lai.

Renowned for their casual attire with fashion elements, the outlet, Yeoh pointed out, would also include the latest fittings and fixtures to provide  a fresh shopping experience to shoppers.

“Esprit unveils 12 themes annually. This month, our theme Flower Power highlights the brand’s spring collection. The versatile retail space has been designed to cater for the latest collection launched each month, ensuring that shoppers experience each line in its intended environment,” he said, adding that the brand is being constantly updated to provide the best quality and service to customers.

On Esprit’s future plans in the state, Yeoh remained optimistic, revealing that since the opening of the first outlet at tHe Spring shopping mall two years ago, sales have been almost as productive as outlets in West Malaysia.

“As customers are growing more fashion- conscious, the demand for international lifestyle fashion brands such as Esprit has grown. In East Malaysia, besides Sarawak, we have also just opened our third store in Kota Kinabalu.

“Thanks to modern retail shopping malls such as the Hills Shopping Mall, we are able to cater to our Sarawakian customers who can now shop right here in their hometown as opposed to taking a flight to Kuala Lumpur or other countries to purchase the latest fashion pieces from Esprit,” he explained.

The new Esprit store marks the brand’s third retail outlet in Sarawak (the second is located in Miri) and the 24th in Malaysia.

In conjunction with the opening, the guests had the opportunity to enjoy attractive shopping privileges of 25 per cent discount sales storewide. They were also treated to fun-filled activities that included a fashion talk on the latest fashion tips from Esprit fashion guru, relaxing hand massages, caricature artwork from talented artists, games and lucky draws where they stood the opportunity to win Esprit merchandise and shopping vouchers.

Esprit at the Hills Shopping Mall is now having an opening promotion until May 8 where every purchase of RM250 in a single receipt entitles to a free ECC membership and an Esprit travel blanket.
