Celcom offers new product to revolutionise SMS industry

LATEST CRAZE: Celcom new product, Kolony, is a social networking tool for mobile phone user within the Celcom Territory.

KUCHING: Celcom has come up with a new product that will further revolutionise short messaging system to another level.

The product called Kolony will keep everybody in touch through their mobile phones in the form of messages or getting the latest information at the a touch of a button at any time.

It is an excellent alternative for people who would want to have their own social networking parameter, especially if you are in the ‘Celcom Territory’.

Kolony is not only ideal for private usage but also for people who have large family members, friends and those in the business community.

This product will become an excellent alternative to express yourself or share information with others within the Kolony.

Once registered, there are many fun things that a person can do .You just send a message through any Kolony feature of your choice and send the messages to Celcom’s shortcode and await your reply.

Some of the fun things you can do with Kolony is to send a message to any friend with its ‘DING’ feature. All you have to is type KDING, then your nickname and the message and then send the message.

Other features include BOMM where you can send one message to all your friends on Kolony. To add someone to your friend list, users can use the FREN feature and to comment on your friend’s BOMM, the user can use POPP.

To use any of these features, user will be charged 10 Koinz but users can get their Koinz free when they make calls using Celcom’s new Xpax, U.O.X. or S.O.X. Plan.

In fact, users can collect as many Koinz as they can in order to use the product. If they make one to five calls within a day, they can collect 10 free Koinz while the sixth call onwards in a day would entitle them to 20 Koinz.

The only setback is that you can only get your free Koinz the following day. Users can share Koinz with their friends by typing Kshare <amount> <nickname> and send to the shortcode.

To be able to communicate with people in the Kolony, users would need to sign up by sending typing KOLONY <your preferred nickname> and send to 25333.
