EPF urges members to check account statements

KUALA LUMPUR: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is launching a media campaign to spur members to check their account statements to ensure that their EPF savings are in order.

The campaign involves new television and radio advertisements that will be aired from 25 May to 14 June 2011.

In a statement yesterday, EPF general manager Nik Affendi Jaafar said: “EPF’s new advertising campaign is aimed at inciting awareness among members on the importance of going through their EPF statements to ascertain that their employers have submitted their contributions accurately and in a timely manner.

“Should there be anything amiss, the member must immediately seek an explanation from their employer or report to the EPF.” — Bernama
