KUCHING: As part of its objective to raise awareness on good health, BP Healthcare Group organised numerous health screening sessions throughout the country and it was as recent as May 8 that a free health screening session was held at the Canning Garden Methodist Church (CGMC) Family Day in Ipoh, Perak.

Some 300 participants and family members benefited from the session which included various check-ups such as blood and urine examination, lung function test, stress test and physical examination among others.

Injecting more nobility to their cause, ten per cent of all proceeds from health screening services by BP Diagnostic Centre would go to Daybreak Centre, a charity organisation set out to serve anyone with disabilities regardless of race or religion.

BP Diagnostic Centre would promote Daybreak Centre’s activities considering that it is the centre’s long-term contributor and partner in co-organising events.

Meanwhile, group investment and finance director Chevy Beh, who was quoted in a media report recently, stated that the company had always focused on primary healthcare and encouraged preventive measures before one needed to got to the hospital.

He also said that the group was planning to build a specialist care centre in Ipoh beginning this June completed with state-of-the-art facilities such as dental and gastroenterology surgeries all under one roof.

“It is part of our aim to provide a comprehensive and complete service to everyone in a warm and friendly manner,” he continued.

Beh was met when the group announced its participation to become the main sponsor of a ‘Health Walk’ event to be held in Ipoh next month.
