KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) is in the process of drafting the policy and necessary law or regulation on nanotechnology development in the country.
Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said stakeholders had held a series of meetings under the auspices of the National Nanotechnology Directorate (NND) to collect input for that purpose.
“The most immediate and important task for the NND is to formulate the National Nanotechnology Policy and Act.
“When it comes to commercialisation (of nanotechnology), we can model and learn from Korea and other countries like the United States as well as Europe.” said Ongkili. — Bernama
