BRIGHT FUTURE: With over 200 million people employed in the service industry around the world, tourism and hospitality continues to be one of the fastest growing industries.

KUCHING: No other hospitality group can offer the range and depth of degrees — seven in Hospitality Management and five in Event Management — like Laureate International universities.

The group offers study programmes in Switzerland, Spain, China and Australia, and has a global network of university level institutions.

Laureate Hospitality Education (LHE) also offers postgraduate programmes for personal and professional growth.

“Perhaps, you are entering Hospitality Management from a different industry or you are working in Hospitality and want to enhance your skills and expand your professional opportunities. Most postgraduate programmes are for one year,” it said in a press release.

The press release quoted the leisure industry to be worth millions, and with increased business travel, leisure time and disposable income the opportunities are vast.

It also said the industry does not only involve hotels and resorts but also restaurants and food service, cruise ships and airlines, theme parks and casinos, meeting and event planning, recreation and sports management, and tourist destinations and attractions, noting that over 200 million people are employed in the service industry around the world.

Tourism and Hospitality continue to be one of the fastest growing industries, it pointed out.
