KOTA KINABALU: A tourist bus driver who planned to marry this year was yesterday found dead in the bus near a car wash outlet in Jalan Lida, Penampang here.

Mark Moses Gimbang, 33, is believed to have collapsed while cleaning the bus around 3pm.

His colleagues discovered his death when they went to look for him after he failed to answer their calls to his cellphone.

According to one of his colleagues, Idris Sinin, 48, the Mark had told him his plan to get married this year.

“He was a friendly and nice person and had told me his intention to start a family,” he said when met yesterday.

A car wash worker, who introduced himself as Nielsen, said prior to the incident, Mark was with him viewing television at the car wash centre.

Nielsen said Mark had looked pale and was quiet, not like his usual cheerful self.

City police chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria, when contacted, said police had ruled out foul play and classified the incident as sudden death.

He said Mark’s body was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.
