NV Multi eyes Hong Kong listing next year

SIBU: NV Multi Corporation Bhd (NV Multi) which is a well established and award winning bereavement care industry leader has targeted a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange next year to make it known worldwide.

Disclosing this, its group’s managing director, Dato’ David Kong said once listed, the corporation would grow six to seven times bigger from its present standing.

“We have interested parties from the private sectors in China, Korea and Hong Kong to join venture in the bereavement care industry in their countries,” he said when addressing the 8th anniversary celebration of its NV Alliance’s Sibu branch cum Parents’ Day celebration held at a leading hotel here during the weekend.

The general manager of NV alliance Sibu branch, Stella Tang was among those present.

Kong said NV Multi also planned joint ventures with the private sector in Indonesia to set up a Muslim cemetery memorial park in three places in that country.

Currently, he said this year his company has started off a RM50 million bereavement care project in Peninsular Malaysia that was expected to be completed in three years’ time.

He said all these bereavement care projects or Nirvana Memorial Parks were built inclusive of excellent geomancy taking into consideration a green environment, artistic and modern tomb designs.

The memorial parks were also set in a green environment reflecting a recreational park or garden which was clean and modern and a nice place to visit, he stated further.

He aso expressed his gratitude to all his staff and agents for their hard work and contribution towards making the company.a successful one.

Earlier on Tang who also spoke was full of praises for Kong who she considered a hero. She said the Sibu branch which started off in 2003 had faced difficult times in the beginning but gradually it managed to overcomethe issues.

“We managed to forge better understanding with the various Chinese associations and other parties concerned,” she said.

She said in 2008, her branch recorded business sales of RM4.8 million that rose to RM11 million the following year. Last year, she said business sales continued to rise to an estimated RM13 million. “As for the first half of this year, we have chalked up business sales of RM10 million. This strong growth can be attributed to the staff who have put in tremendous effort to keep us ahead of the competition,” she said.
