KUCHING: A total of 450 students of SMK Petra Jaya participated in the school two day sports meet, which ended yesterday at the Stadium Negeri.
The 24th Annual event, which features 16 events for boys and 14 events for girls seen six teams, comprising of Rajawali, Flamingo, Kenyalang, Helang and Merpati aiming for the medal tally championship.
According to the school sports secretary Rulidah Seman, the event this year featured a new event which is the ‘Tug-of-War’ challenge.
She also added that the theme for this year sports meet is ‘1 Student, 1 Sport, 1 Malaysia.’
The prize giving ceremony was officiated by the school’s principal Abdul Radzak Ismail.
