GOING GLOBAL: GESB, an established MLM company, is eyeing the Japanese market after having successfully ventured into Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand with its ‘gamat’ based healthcare products.
KUCHING: Gamat Emas Sdn Bhd (GESB), an established multi-level marketing (MLM) company, is eyeing the Japanese market after having successfully ventured into Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand with its sea-cucumber based or commonly known ‘gamat’ healthcare products.
The company started venturing overseas after having gained a strong foothold domestically with 33 sales centres, 300 stockists and 70,000 active members.
Managing director Rosedy Issa said, “Although the company was 100–per cent owned by Bumiputeras, its MLM concept was applicable to all, irrespective of race and background, and helped jobless graduates make a living,” he told Bernama after the opening of GESB’s Kuching branch office here yesterday.
He also disclosed that GESB was collaborating with a prospective investor to set up a chain of distributors and to recruit members in Indonesia.
Rosedy also said the company had not only expanded remarkably but, in the process, had created many entrepreneurs, in line with the country’s aspiration to create a high-income economy. — Bernama
