Organisers assured of improved shuttle service to RWMF

KUCHING: Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism and Heritage Datu Ik Pahon called upon the public to be aware of the availability of shuttle service to the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) venue at Sarawak Cultural Village on from tomorrow to Sunday.
He assured that those who prefer to use public transport to the festival will have improved bus service available as compared to previous years.
“After receiving complaints and feedback from the public members, we planned to make it easier for everyone. The bus will drop its passengers at the main entrance of SCV which they need not to walk for five or 10 minutes last the previous years,” Pahon told a press conference here yesterday.
Also present was Biaramas executive director Henry Lai, the RWMF’s official public shuttle bus service provider.
“We will have three canopies and place for passengers to wait and queue at SCV. They need not to worry about the rain,” said Lai.
He said the bus service will be available during the RWMF from 10am to 1.30am.
It is priced at RM15 per adult per way, RM8 per child per way. Buy a return bus ticket at RM25 or a three-day ticket at RM60, customers are entitled for a free raincoat.
Tickets are available at CPH travel and Tours; Borneo Exploration Travel and Tours; Borneo Transverse Travel and Tours; Borneo Fairyland Travel and Tours; Borneo Interland Travel and Tours; Interworld Travel and Tours; Ping Sin Travel and Tours; and Planet Travel and Tours.
It can also be purchased at Riverside Majestic Hotel, Four Points Hotel, Grand Continental Hotel, Hotel 360, Tune Hotel and 360 Express Hotel.
There will be five pick up points located at Grand Magherita Hotel, Pullman Hotel, Hilton Hotel, Harbour View Hotel and Merdeka Palace Hotel.
To check the bus service timetable, members of public are advised to log on to Sarawak Tourism Board’s (STB) website.
