KOTA KINABALU: A new edition of A Walk through the Lowland Rainforest of Sabah, takes you on a quick trip into one of nature’s most wonderful monuments.
The tropical lowland rainforest in Sabah is an example of one of the richest ecosystems in the world.
This attractive new book features nearly 100 stunning photographs by renowned wildlife photographer Ch’ien Lee.
Written and compiled for the enjoyment of naturalists, students and travellers alike, the book will be a special reminder of the wonders of the lowland rainforest and its many magnificent, but vulnerable plants and animals.
The text was written by botanist Elaine J F Campbell who first came to study the forests of Sabah in 1985, as a research assistant on a field project based at the Danum Valley Field Centre, where she fell in love with the rain forest.
The publishers, Datuk C.L. Chan of Natural History Publications (Borneo) together with Datuk Dr Mohd Tahir Jaafar, chairman of Innoprise Jungle Lodge, jointly announced the release of this book yesterday.
They believe this new coffee-table book will be the perfect souvenir to remind visitors of their wonderful experience in the pristine lowland rainforest in Sabah.
It is also a suitable gift for friends overseas. This book is available at the Borneo Rainforest Lodge and major bookstores in Sabah.
