Mattress roadshow at tHe Spring

KUCHING: The Bedroom is holding a roadshow at tHe Spring until this Sunday in conjunction with the launching of an Italian-design mattress label, Technogel.
“We are honoured to be the sole distributor for Technogel in East Malaysia,” said The Bedroom’s person-in-charge Nicholas Sia.
Sia said as sleep is the very foundation for one’s mental and physical well-being, The Bedroom is here to offer customers the best brands, products and technology.
According to him, Technogel is the registered trade name of a versatile gel which, amongst others, forms the core application for a comfortable sleep.
“It was first introduced and developed 20 years ago for the medical field where it was used for a limited production of anti-decubitus (bed sore, the consequence of lying in one position too long) cushions for long-stay patients,” said Sia.
With its roots in the medical industry where comfort, hygiene and durability are users’ concern, Technogel is an ideal, high performance material used in a wide range of applications, especially in sleeping, Sia said.
Technigel sales and marketing director Michel Lion, in the same press release, said Technogel is a unique ‘soft solid’ material that joins together the 3D deformation of a fluid and the memory shape of a solid.
He also said it is completely safe as it is non-toxic and a stable polyurethane substance made without using oils or plasticisers.
“What makes Technogel so clever is its agility — the ability to act like a second skin.
“It surrounds and supports any of your shapes and feels like no other material available today,” said Michel.
He added that by embracing the curves of a human body, every contour is suspended and supported by the gel, as it relaxes every muscle and mind while enhancing the feeling of restfulness.
Technogel pillow is now priced at RM749 (usual price is RM1,099) and Technogel mattresses cost from RM4,899 (queen size), while freebies will be given away.
