TAWAU: Liew Si Mui from Kunak drove home a brand new Volkswagen Golf TSI worth RM155,888 after he won the Celcom Roam and Win Campaign.

The 50-year-old man had made more than 20 calls back home to Malaysia while travelling abroad during the promotion period between January 13 and April 12, this year.

Liew received the grand prize from Celcom Sabah Customer Service regional head Abd Rahman Hj Mahat at the Celcom branch here yesterday morning, witnessed by Tawau branch manager Jemsa Sanie.

The Celcom Roam and Win campaign was organised to reward Celcom’s postpaid and prepaid roamers. Apart from the grand prize, 10 units of Blackberry Torch worth RM 2,188 each were given away each month during the three-month campaign to randomly selected lucky winners who made 10 or more calls back home to Malaysia in the particular month.

At the same time, these customers get to enjoy attractive and competitive local roaming rates (LRR) within the Axiata Group of companies offered through the Axiata Group synergy.

Celcom took every single opportunity to reward their loyal customers for their unwavering support. This is one example of their commitment towards enriching their customers’ experience.

Today, customers place high importance on connectivity, anywhere and anytime. These are the benefits offered by Celcom. There will be many more exciting programs, unbeatable offers, exceptional rewards and bonuses waiting for their customers.

At the same time, they also place great priority in managing their satisfaction by offering their customers the widest and most stable coverage in Celcom Territory.

Recently, the telecommunication company introduced Celcom Roam, a new roaming service that offers roaming all over the world according to five simple zones and five corresponding simple easy-to-remember rates, making charges more predictable for customers whilst they travel.

With this, customers can call back to Malaysia from as low as RM3.50 per minute and SMS from 65 cent per SMS. These new rates are being enjoyed by Celcom’s postpaid and corporate customers.

Celcom is able to provide customers with strong service features including unrivalled global coverage, the lowest International Direct Dial (IDD) and very low roaming rates through the Axiata’s group of companies, namely M1 (Singapore), XL (Indonesia), Dialog (Sri Lanka), Robi (Bangladesh), Hello (Cambodia) and also through strategic partnership with Vodafone Group, which network spans across 67 Vodafone operating companies and affiliates, worldwide.

To further cater to customers’ myriad needs, Celcom was also the first to introduce unlimited data roaming at a single flat rate of RM38 a day, across partner network in 12 countries, under the ‘Axiata Roam’ campaign.

The 12 countries include Singapore (M1), Indonesia (XL), Sri Lanka (Dialog), Bangladesh (AKtel), Cambodia (Hello), Hong Kong (Smartone), Philippines (Sun Digital), Taiwan (Chunghwa), Japan (Softbank), India (Idea Cellular) and China (China Unicom).
