ORAL HEALTH : The children being guided on how to brush their teeth properly.

SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute (MPI) will begin a course on children’s safety and health next month until November.

It is open to all, but operators of childcare centres, child-minders and kindergarten teachers are especially welcome.

The course will be held every Tuesday evening and Sunday afternoon.

Professional facilitators will hold topics such as Child Health Care, Brain Development, Oral Health, Disease Prevention, Sex Education, Positive Parenting, First Aid, Food Handling and Child Nutrition.

Participants shall also learn the proper procedure in reporting child abuse cases.

Another interesting topic is Behavioral Observation For Children’s Development Delays.

The course, which will be conducted in English, is organised in line with the recent call for childcare centre operators to be registered.

All participants will be given a certificate of attendance. For enquiries, call 084-322268.
