KOTA KINABALU: The action of a husband who forced his wife to have sex with other partners while he watched the act via skypevoice-and-video Internet service was chastised by the Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister, Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun.

She described the action as immoral and a discrimination against women everywhere.

The woman, who claimed to be a Sabahan, said that the incident occurred at several hotels in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

This was reported by several newspapers.

Azizzah added that they are waiting for the police report on the case.

“The police are investigating. We will wait for the outcome. Strict action will be taken on the husband,” she said.

She added that if the woman turned out to be a non-Sabahan, she still condemned the action, which she deemed as a form of sexual abuse.

On another matter, Azizah also ordered the Welfare Department here to investigate a case involving a single mom who had to work and care for two disabled children, simultaneously.

The plight of the woman from Kg Ketiau Putatan was raised by Kota Kinabalu member of parliament, Hiew King Cheu and PKR Putatan secretary, Mohd Hasnan recently.

The woman earns RM400 a month and is caring for her sons, Samri Suddik, 26, and Suraidi Suddik, 23.

Samri was crippled by a road accident two years ago and is bedridden.

His brother, Suraidi, is mentally retarded and is also bedridden. Azizah said that Samri would be receiving an allowance of RM300 per month under the Chronic Patient Care while Suraidi will be receiving RM150 per month.

She also encouraged the single mother to apply for a house under the Housing for the Poor project.
