Thirteen fatalities during ‘Ops Sikap 24’

KOTA KINABALU: Thirteen road fatalities have been reported around the state since ‘Ops Sikap 24’ started ten days ago.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said, the thirteen fatalities were out of 512 accidents reported around the state during ‘Ops Sikap 24’ which began on Aug 23 and ends on Sept 2.

Police also issued a total of 9,599 summonses to road users for numerous traffic offences, he said.

Hamza reminded road users returning from their respective kampungs after the festive celebration to exercise extra care while on the road to prevent any untoward incident.
