KUCHING: A 14-year-old girl is suspected to have been drugged and raped after three unknown men
forced her and a friend into a car, while they were walking to school.
The victim was discovered at a house at Mile 8 Jalan Matang by her father after he was told of her whereabouts by the friend, who managed to escape from the men’s clutches.
A male relative, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he was told the incident occurred Friday morning when the victim and three schoolmates were walking to school in Pending from Kampung Muhibbah.
He said three men in a Perodua Viva stopped next to the girls and grabbed the victim and her friend before speeding away.
The other two girls ran back to their village and informed the abductees’ parents of the incident.
Yesterday morning, the victim’s friend showed up at her house and told her parents she had escaped from a house in Matang where she and the victim had been held.
Her parents forwarded the information to the victim’s parents, prompting the latter’s father to rush to the house where he found his daughter in a dishevelled state in the company of an unknown man, whom he immediately apprehended.
The man was handed over to the police for investigation, while the girl, who the relative said appeared to have been drugged, was taken to Sarawak General Hospital for a medical checkup.
In a separate case, a widow from Taman Malihah lodged a police report on Friday, claiming she had been raped by a man she was recently acquainted with.
The woman, in her late 20s, was asked by the man, said to be a glue-sniffing addict, to go for a motorcycle ride around 3pm, but was instead brought to a jungle near her house where the alleged rape occurred.
Police are investigating while the woman has been sent to hospital for a medical checkup.
