MIRI: State PBB Women deputy chief Datin Fatimah Abdullah stressed that priority would be given to winnable candidates to stand as BN candidates this coming parliamentary election, with gender issue coming as number two.

She said this was to ensure that all the seats would be delivered to BN.

“Our top priority is
victory for BN and other small issues will be tackled accordingly among the component parties,” Fatimah said to members of the press at the ‘Ramah Tamah Aidil Fitri’ hosted by
Lambir assemblyman Ripin Lamat at his residence at Airport Road here yesterday.

Among those present were PBB Lambir women chief councillor Zainani Salleh, PBB Piasau women chief councillor Katijah Datuk Muip, PBB Senadin women chief Nilawati Simat, PBB Senadin youth chief Mohd Tinggal and PBB Pujut youth chief Ismail Lai.

She said this was also in accordance with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s recent statement that only candidates with top marks and good winning chances would be fielded in the election.

On preparations for the election, the Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office said BN women wing was ready and prepared to face the opposition.
